Calling from abroad, made simpler

PayCall lets people abroad call U.S. and Canadian numbers from the browser over Wi-Fi or mobile data, including the 1-800 lines of banks, airlines and government agencies that foreign phones often can't reach. The call is placed from the U.S. network, with no app or local SIM. Call didn't help? Refund it within 24 hours, whatever the reason.

U.S. and Canadian calling is available for eligible numbers. Premium, emergency and special services, collect calls and area code 867 are excluded. Hotline routing can vary.

We open destinations one at a time after checking calling routes, number types and prices. Until a destination is marked available, you can register interest but cannot place a paid call to it.

Where do you need to call?

Call the United States and Canada now. The United Kingdom, Australia and Germany are next.

Why calling from abroad can be difficult

Foreign phones often can't reach U.S. and Canadian 1-800 numbers, and when they can, your carrier may charge international or roaming rates. PayCall places the call from the U.S. network, so these toll-free lines connect from your browser like a call from inside the U.S. If the company lists an international number, you can call that one with PayCall too.

How PayCall works

Choose an available destination and check the number and rate on pay-call.com.
Sign in with Google or an email link and add credits.
Allow microphone access — the call runs in your browser over WiFi or mobile data.
Use the on-screen keypad for phone menus and hang up whenever you like.

Availability depends on the destination and number type. A destination marked coming next is not open for calls yet.

Pricing

Calls start with your microphone off at the waiting rate. Switch your microphone on for speaking and voice menus. Unanswered calls are free and credits don't expire.

Your call starts muted at the waiting rate. You can return to this rate twice. Further muting stays at the speaking rate. Voice menus also need speaking mode.

For example, a 15-minute call with 8 minutes in Hold for me and 7 minutes with the microphone on costs $3.45. Your actual cost depends on the time spent in each mode.

How we check numbers

The numbers in our guides come from each company's official website. We call them ourselves from outside the U.S. through PayCall, and numbers we have tested show the test date on their guide. If a number has changed, email us and we'll update it.

What PayCall doesn't do

Calls to destinations marked coming next, including the UK, Australia and Germany.
Premium-rate, emergency or special service numbers, and Canadian area code 867.
Incoming calls, SMS or verification codes.
Emergency calls — dial 911/112 from a phone instead.
