Before you call

RBC Royal Bank publishes separate contacts for everyday banking, credit cards and online banking. Use the number for your Canadian product; RBC Bank U.S. and other RBC businesses may have different support teams. Check RBC’s international toll-free options before paying for a browser call.

Match the number to your product

Everyday banking covers banking accounts and related personal banking enquiries; credit cards have their own service line. For online or mobile banking technical support, use the dedicated number. Confirm the contact on RBC’s official site or the back of your card.

RBC also publishes international toll-free telephone banking access using +800-0-769-2511 from supported countries. That +800 format is a universal international freephone number, not a Canadian +1 800 number, and cannot be dialed through PayCall. Check the country-specific access instructions with RBC and your carrier.

How to call from your browser

  1. 1Check the official contact page and pick the correct product or department.
  2. 2Choose Canada +1 in PayCall, enter the ten-digit number and check the rate.
  3. 3Sign in and add prepaid USD credits if needed. Allow microphone access.
  4. 4Use the keypad for the phone menu. Keep your microphone muted when entering sensitive information and never share a banking password or PIN with PayCall support.

Prices, currency and limits

Calls start in Hold for me at $0.09 USD/min with your microphone off, keypad menus included. With your microphone on, the call costs $0.39 USD/min. Calls are billed per second and there is no subscription. A toll-free destination is still a paid call through PayCall; prices are in U.S. dollars, not Canadian dollars.

Hold for me works with menus in any language: you listen yourself and turn your microphone on to speak. Hotline routing and opening hours can affect whether you reach an agent. Area code 867, premium, emergency and special services are excluded. PayCall does not provide incoming calls, SMS, verification codes or operator-assisted collect calls.

Account security and callbacks

A PayCall Canadian caller ID is shared service infrastructure, not your personal bank-registered number. Do not rely on it for a callback or a one-time verification code. Complete identification directly with RBC, and use secure banking messages where appropriate. PayCall cannot access your account or resolve a banking restriction.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use RBC’s international toll-free number instead?

Check RBC’s official international-access list. The +800 international freephone number is different from the +1 Canadian number. Access and carrier charges depend on where you are calling from.

Can I add credits during a call?

Yes. Tap “Add credits without hanging up” on the call screen and pay with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay right there. The call keeps running, and the new balance extends it. Useful when a hotline keeps you on hold longer than expected.
