Call a Canadian landline, mobile or supported toll-free number over WiFi or mobile data from your browser. Canada shares country code +1 with the U.S. and other NANP territories, so the full number and selected destination matter. Check your existing phone plan and the company’s official international contact options before paying for a browser call.

Canadian dialing: +1 and ten digits

Use +1 followed by the three-digit area code and seven-digit local number. In PayCall, select Canada +1 and enter the ten national digits; pasted +1 numbers are also accepted. The +1 code alone does not identify a Canadian destination.

For geographic numbers PayCall identifies Canada from the area code and uses its Canadian outbound caller ID. Toll-free prefixes are shared across the NANP: keep Canada selected for a Canadian hotline. This is an outgoing service; the displayed caller ID is not a private number for receiving callbacks or SMS.

Canadian toll-free numbers from overseas

A Canadian 800 or 888 number may not connect through your foreign carrier. Try the company’s official international or local alternative where available. RBC also publishes international toll-free access for supported countries; check it first. PayCall is a paid alternative when those options do not work.

Keep the company’s original number and verify the department. Geographic restrictions can still prevent a particular hotline from connecting; a published contact number is not a documented PayCall connection test.

Prices, currency and limits

Calls start in Hold for me at $0.09 USD/min with your microphone off, keypad menus included. With your microphone on, the call costs $0.39 USD/min. Calls are billed per second and there is no subscription. A toll-free destination is still a paid call through PayCall; prices are in U.S. dollars, not Canadian dollars.

Hold for me works with menus in any language: you listen yourself and turn your microphone on to speak. Hotline routing and opening hours can affect whether you reach an agent. Area code 867, premium, emergency and special services are excluded. PayCall does not provide incoming calls, SMS, verification codes or operator-assisted collect calls.

Frequently asked questions

Can I call a Canadian number online without a Canadian SIM?

Yes. PayCall calls eligible Canadian numbers from a browser using WiFi or mobile data. You need an account, prepaid USD credits and microphone access. Internet charges may apply.

Is calling Canada free with PayCall?

No. Hold for me (microphone off) costs $0.09 USD/min; speaking costs $0.39 USD/min. Billed per second, no subscription. Your own phone plan may already include Canadian calls.

Can I speak French on a Canadian call?

You can speak French if the receiving service supports it. Hold for me works with French menus too; you listen yourself. A French website does not guarantee a French-speaking agent.

Can I add credits during a call?

Yes. Tap “Add credits without hanging up” on the call screen and pay with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay right there. The call keeps running, and the new balance extends it. Useful when a hotline keeps you on hold longer than expected.
