Card frozen while traveling?

CIBC may block a card after unusual activity abroad. Check the app for an alert first. If you need to talk to someone, call the number for your product above. Never give your PIN or a one-time code to someone who calls you; if a caller claiming to be CIBC asks for one, hang up and call the official number yourself.

Have your card number and account details ready. CIBC is based in Toronto, on Eastern Time, so check the time difference before you call; Japan, for example, is 13 to 14 hours ahead.

How to call from your browser

What the call costs

Calls start in Hold for me at $0.09 USD/min with your microphone off, keypad menus included. With your microphone on, the call costs $0.39 USD/min. Billed per second, no subscription; unanswered calls are free. A toll-free number is still a paid call through PayCall.

If a call didn't help, whatever the reason, you can refund it in your account within 24 hours: up to $3 per call, the first 2 instantly and a 3rd on request, as PayCall Credits. PayCall does not place collect calls and is not the organization's official support line.
