PayCall is an independent calling service, not affiliated with Service Canada.

Before you call

Service Canada publishes separate numbers for Employment Insurance (EI) and for the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security (CPP/OAS), and lists special numbers for callers outside Canada and the United States. Officers answer Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Since Skype stopped calling phone numbers, many people abroad can no longer reach the 1-800 lines; PayCall places the call from your browser over WiFi or mobile data.

Other numbers and contact options

These contacts may require another phone service or an operator. PayCall cannot place collect calls or call numbers outside the U.S. and Canada.

Opening hours from abroad

Officers answer Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; weekends are closed. The automated services run 24 hours a day. The CPP/OAS line operates in local time in Canada and the U.S. and in Eastern Time for international callers, so convert the hours to your time zone before you call.

Have your Social Insurance Number and any letters from Service Canada ready for identity checks. Use your My Service Canada Account when it can answer the question without a call.
